PP-RCT is a high-performance upgraded material in the field of polypropylene piping, full name Polypropylene Random Copolymer with enhanced Crystallinity Temperature, commonly referred to as high-temperature-resistant polypropylene pipe or fourth-generation PP-R pipe. It is not a completely new material, but a high-performance polypropylene pipe developed on the basis of traditional PP-R through molecular structure optimization, crystallization morphology control, and nanomodification technologies.

The core differences between PP-RCT and traditional PP-R

Manufacturing of PP-RCT

• Special Resin Synthesis and Modification
• Random copolymerization of propylene with 1.5%~4% ethylene, precisely controlling the molecular weight distribution; the core involves a blend of high-efficiency α-crystalline nucleating agents and a composite anti-oxidation system. Through twin-screw blending and granulation, special particles with high crystallinity and high melt strength are formed.
• Precision Extrusion Molding
• Single-screw extrusion is used with strict temperature control (≤230°C to prevent degradation); the key to success lies in ‘gradient slow cooling’ mida (60°C → 40°C → 25°C staged spraying), allowing the nucleating agents to fully act and uniformly refine spherulites, avoiding internal stress and microcracks caused by rapid cooling; laser online diameter and thickness measurement is conducted throughout.
• Mandatory Quality Inspection and Certification
• Must pass a 1000-hour static hydrostatic test at 95°C/10.0MPa and extrapolate life to 70°C/50 years according to ISO 9080; simultaneously test thermal stability (OIT ≥ 20 min) and drinking water hygiene safety; after passing, the pipe body is mandatorily marked with PP-RCT, classificació de pressió, and the applicable standard.

The advantages of pp-rct in extreme environments

• Extremely cold but not brittle: fine crystalline structure, homogeneous heat fusion, high system integrity under freeze-thaw cycles;
• High temperature but not soft: MRS 10.0 MPa, anti-oxidation system, long-term stability at 90°C operating conditions;
• Earthquake-resistant and corrosion-resistant: flexible one-piece molding, chemically inert, suitable for geologically active areas and high-chlorine water quality regions.

• Building hot and cold water supply systems (especially for high-rise buildings, hot water return, and whole-house water supply for villas)
• Connection of underfloor heating main/branch pipes, exposed pipelines for radiators
• Solar heat collection systems, air source heat pump refrigerant water systems
• Places with high requirements for water quality and temperature, such as hospitals, hotels, swimming pools, i fàbriques d'aliments
• Industrial low-pressure fluid transport (non-strongly corrosive media, temperature ≤ 95°C)
