A: The NRS (concealed stem) gate valve does not raise or lower the valve stem during operation and is suitable for underground installations and valve wells with limited clearance. The valve stem of the OS&Y (rising stem) gate valve rises and falls during operation, providing a visual indication of the valve position. It is suitable for occasions on the ground where visual confirmation of the switch status is required.

S2: What is the difference between elastic wedge gate valve (soft seal) and hard seal gate valve?

A: The gate plate of the elastic wedge gate valve (soft seal) is entirely covered with EPDM rubber, providing a zero-leakage seal (bubble level) and suitable for water, sewage and mild chemicals. Hard-sealed gate valves (metal-to-metal) are suitable for high temperatures (>150°C) and abrasive media, but have higher leakage rates. For most water supply and HVAC applications, resilient wedge gate valves are the most cost-effective option.
