FAQ

1. Can a swing check valve be installed vertically?

Нет. Swing check valves must be installedhorizontally (or in slightly sloping lines) because gravity is required to return the disc to its seat when flow stops. Vertical installation prevents the disc from fully closing, resulting in backflow.

2. What is the difference between metal seal and soft seal check valves?

Metal seal (13Cr/Stellite hardfaced) withstands higher temperatures (up to 600°C) and abrasive media, offering excellent corrosion and erosion resistance for high-pressure and severe service applications. Soft seal (EPDM/PTFE) provides zero leakage shut-off but has a limited temperature range (typically ≤120-260°C). This product features a metal seal, suitable for high-temperature, high-pressure, and abrasive media applications.

3. What is the difference between API 6D and BS 1868 стандарты?
