1. What is the difference between OS&Y and non-rising stem gate valves, and how to choose?
OS&Y (outside screw & yoke) valves have a stem that rises and lowers with the handwheel, providing visual position indication. Non-rising stem valves have a rotating stem that lifts internally while the handwheel remains fixed, suitable for limited installation space. Our product adopts the non-rising design, offering compact installation and maintenance-free operation. For ample space and visual indication, choose traditional OS&Y; for tight spaces, our non-rising model is recommended.

2. Can this valve be used for fire foam or seawater?
Standard configuration is for fresh water and medium-temperature water. For foam or seawater, special sealing materials (EPDM/Viton) and coatings (epoxy + polyurethane) are required. Please specify the medium when ordering – we offer customized solutions.

3. Does PN16 rating meet fire system requirements?
PN16 (2.1MPa) equals ~232Psi, covering most building fire system operating pressures (typically 1.0–1.6MPa). For super high-rise or high-pressure pump systems, PN25 or higher is available – please consult our sales team.

4. Which flange standards are supported?
Standard options include ANSI B16.1 (Razred 125/150), DIN PN16 (IN 1092-2), and BS 4504. Other standards such as JIS or AS/NZS are available upon request with your flange drawing or dimensional requirements.

5. Does the valve come with a locking device?
An optional padlock locking device (max 1 padlock) is available to prevent unauthorized operation, especially for fire valves that must remain normally open/closed. Standard product does not include padlock – please specify locking requirement in your order.
