An electric butterfly valve uses electrical power, requires no air supply, offers higher precision, and is suitable for applications without compressed air systems. A pneumatic butterfly valve offers faster response, better explosion-proof performance, and is suitable for hazardous areas with existing air supply. The choice depends on site power/air supply conditions and control accuracy requirements.

2. What is the difference between modulating and on/off electric actuators?

An on/off actuator provides only fully open or fully closed control, suitable for simple switching applications. A modulating actuator accepts 4-20mA or 0-10V analog signals for 0-100% precise position control, suitable for applications requiring accurate flow regulation.

3. What media is the PVC body suitable for?

The PVC body is suitable for water, wastewater, air, gas, oil, chemicals, acids, alkalis, and mild chemicals. PVC offers excellent corrosion resistance but is not recommended for high-temperature (>80°C) or organic solvent applications.

4. What is the temperature range of the EPDM seat?

The EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) seat operates from -10°C to +80°C. EPDM offers excellent resistance to water, weathering, ozone, and aging, but is not recommended for petroleum-based oils or strong acids.
